Our first look at the new NBC show "Constantine" is here. I haven't followed much Constantine, but I have always loved the concept. So I looked at this first look and I just can't for an opinion yet... which is super weird for me cause I love judging things prematurely. This show will follow John Constantine, occult detective and con artist, as he fights his way through hordes of demons. All of which want to rule/destroy/haterape the human race.
Constantine will be played by Matt Ryan a British actor who hasn't done anything I would have ever watched. That being said he looks pretty Constantine-y all decked out in his trench coat, which button-down, and tie which, very soon, will be the only thing audiences will be able to associate him with.
I don't watch NBC... ever. It's not out of principle or anything, their shows just kinda suck. HOWEVER, with Constantine, Aquarius (David Duchovny`s upcoming crime show), and HEROES RE-GODDAMN-BORN, I expect I will find more and more reasons to tune into NBC over the next couple years. I'll definitely have to read up on my Constantine and Hellblazer before the series premier Oct. 24th at 10 PM/9 PM Central Time.
